Tasting notes:
Winemaking:
The vineyards are located at the foot of the Andes, in Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level, in a privileged terroir with a dry climate, a wide thermal amplitude and soils that allow us to obtain an aromatically expressive, full-bodied and naturally acidic Malbec, from which we make excellent quality wines.
After the harvest at the end of March, the grape clusters were transported to the processing plant in 18-kilo crates, where, after a strict selection, they were placed in stainless steel 100 hl tanks for three weeks of maceration, pumping over, manual trampling and finally traditional fermentation. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Wine description:
Almost black, deep, purplish red color, intense aroma, with ripe fruits, plum compote, blueberry, black currant character, along with dark chocolate, black pepper, coffee and tobacco. Full-bodied, concentrated in taste, alcohol-rich wine with chocolate notes, a little smokiness, lots of fine tannins, long-lasting flavors.
Analysis:
According to Mihály Fabók, the Hungarian sommelier champion:
It has a deeper ruby hue in color, with youthful purple notes on the edges, framed by a spectacular glycerin ring. After aeration, its increasingly rich aromas intensify with noble oak aromas, barrel spices, black-fleshed forest fruits, sour cherries and dark chocolate. The rich and concentrated aromatics known in the aroma continue in the taste, complemented by a large body and a ripe velvety texture. Its deep flavor world and solid ripe structure, as well as the typical aromas of the variety and the characteristics provided by the growing area, combine in this creation. In its endless finish, almost sweet tannins provide lasting memories of Malbec and Mendoza.
Its ripe, solid and deep structure, as well as its large body, distinctive flavors and spicy oak aromas, make it a great match for noble big game served with forest mushrooms and fruits, beef steaks, premium dark chocolate, or even consumed on its own.

Winemaking:
This aromatically expressive, full-bodied and naturally acidic Vivante Reserva Malbec comes from our vineyards in a privileged deep soil area at the foot of the Andes, 950 meters above sea level.
After the harvest at the end of March, the grape clusters were transported to the processing plant in 18-kilo crates, where, after a strict selection, they were placed in stainless steel 100 hl tanks for three weeks of maceration, pumping over, manual trampling and traditional fermentation. After malolactic fermentation set at 24 degrees Celsius, the wine was filled into French oak barrels for 12 months.
Wine description:
Dark ruby color, good complexity, cherry and slightly spicy developing aroma with chocolate, piquant character. Well-made, structured and well-proportioned, properly full-bodied wine with optimally ripe flavors, soft acidity. Thick wine with lots of fruit, coffee, dark chocolate finish.
Analysis:
Wine description, according to Fabók Mihály, the Hungarian sommelier champion:
When poured into the glass, the wine draws a nice impression, its color showing a youthful purple hue. In its fresh aroma, intense red and black-fleshed fruits appear, mostly reminding the taster of currants, plums, black cherries and a hint of sweet spices. In the taste, it is medium-bodied, soft texture, softer caressing acidity and ripe fruitiness are completed. Its alcohol gives warmth and a slightly sweet-round feeling, which is made lively by refreshing tannins. It can withstand a few years of aging, but it is already drinkable and its really lively aromas carry perfect harmony and beautiful varietal characteristics.
The wine’s lightness, fruitiness, more restrained tannin content and elegant, looser structure, when tempered at 16 degrees Celsius, offer perfect harmony with brown-meat poultry served with various fruits, with lamb dishes with fresh green spices, or even with garden barbecue meats.

Soil
The soil in the area come from what was once the water bed of the Mendoza river, characterized by three layers. The top layer consists of clay loam soil, followed by gravel and further down the rounded cobble stones of different sizes. These are the ideal conditions for good drainage and root growth.
Climate
The vineyards for our premium wines are in a mild continental climate zone where the rain falls mainly in summer with a yearly average of just 250 to 300 mm. The wide temperature range and countless sunny days guarantee the perfect health conditions for an ideal ripening of high-quality grapes. Vineyard: Our Reserva and Gran Reserva malbecs were produced from grapevines planted in 1924 at approximately 950 meters above sea level, driven in low cordon trellis. The high density of plants per hectare enables a yield of approximately 70 quintals per hectare with an excellent ratio between leaf area and production, pruned under the Guyot system and irrigated with water from the melting of the Andes Mountains.
